Job Title: Salaried GP (4 Sessions – East Birmingham)

Contract Type: Part-Time (4 sessions per week)
Job Summary:
We are working with a well-established GMS GP Practice in East Birmingham (B34), serving a list size of approximately 11,000 patients. The practice is a training environment supporting GP registrars, FY2 doctors, and medical students from the University of Birmingham. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Salaried General Practitioner to join the clinical team on a 4-session basis. Full-day coverage is essential. Contracts are in line with BMA guidelines, and indemnity is fully covered by the practice. Salary will be based on experience.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct face-to-face and telephone/video consultations
Manage a caseload of patients with a range of health needs in a primary care setting
Provide home visits as required
Review and sign repeat prescriptions and results
Contribute to care planning and disease management in line with QOF and best practice
Maintain up-to-date clinical records using SystmOne
Participate in clinical meetings, audit, and ongoing service development
Comply with practice policies (e.g., prescribing, safeguarding, data protection)
Ensure high standards of clinical care and patient confidentiality
Practice Information:
3 GP Partners, 5 Salaried GPs, 2 ACPs, Pharmacist, 3 Practice Nurses, 3 HCAs
Experienced and supportive admin/reception team
Weekly practice meetings
Special interests in Diabetes, Dermatology, Palliative Care, Family Planning, and Research
CQC rated Good
High QOF achiever
Uses SystmOne
Strong emphasis on training and professional development
Requirements:
Fully qualified GP with current GMC registration
UK right to work and professional registration
Commitment to high-quality patient care and teamwork
Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain)
Desirable Attributes:
Interest in clinical education or specific specialties
Familiarity with SystmOne
Experience working in training practices or PCN environments
